Supporting Farmers Through Connection and Community
Clybiau Ffermio are Tir Dewi’s farmer-led support groups, created to bring people together in a safe, friendly and informal setting. They offer a space where farmers can talk openly, share experiences, learn from one another and feel part of a community that understands the pressures of modern farming.
Why Clybiau Ffermio Matter
Farming can be isolating, and the challenges facing rural communities are increasing. Clybiau Ffermio provide:
- Connection — regular opportunities to meet others who understand the realities of farming life.
- Support— a welcoming environment to talk through concerns, pressures or ideas.
- Learning — practical sessions, guest speakers and shared knowledge to help with business, wellbeing and resilience
- Belonging — a sense of community rooted in trust, respect and understanding.
What Happens at a Club Meeting?
Each club shapes its own programme, but meetings often include:
- Informal catch-ups over tea and coffee
- Discussions about current farming challenges
- Workshops on topics such as business planning, wellbeing or new regulations
- Talks from agricultural specialists and local organisations
- Social activities that help build communities and friendships
Who Can Join?
Clybiau Ffermio are open to anyone involved in farming or living within the farming community who is aged 30 or over. Whether you’re a farm owner, worker, family member or simply someone who wants to connect with others, you’ll be welcomed.
